Year 6 Orange has been remarkably impressive during the last two weeks of online classes. We have been getting through the learning even though things have totally changed. The students have been very kind and patient with their teacher and with each other online.
I must say the personalities still show through even when we are not face to face. The standard of work has not slipped at all as is demonstrated below with Maya B’s 100 word challenge writing and also above with Annika Mercieca’s sketch of her mum when she played roller derby. Lily and Poppy also wrote lovely notes about how they are feeling about our current situation, thanks Lily and Poppy for your kind words.
Here I was. My violin concert. Suddenly, a voice boomed my name. “I can do this.” I gulped. The audience was so still they looked like a painted picture. Blinding, purple light shone fiercely into my eyes. Then, I started to play. My music echoed gloriously in my ears. I forgot about the audience and all I could hear was the sound of my instrument. I was in my happy place. Then, I played the last note. A thundering applause broke out, as loud as an elephant stampede. My face broke into a grin. I had never felt so amazing. Maya B
Dear Mrs Gould, Happy Easter! Thankyou for being so kind and helpful, I miss going to school and I miss being able to see you every day. I am so grateful for all the effort you have put into preparing all of our online classes. I can't wait to see you tomorrow (I think it was a very fun idea to take our minds of Covid19 with Easter eggs!) You are such a caring teacher and I am really looking forward to going back to school, it is such a big part of my life and it is very strange not walking into the gates every morning. Thank You so much!

p.s The only reason I'm sane is because of you!
Dear Mrs Gould, happy Easter! I just wanted to say thankyou for being such a good teacher and being so kind and caring to all of us! I miss you so much and miss seeing you at school everyday. Thankyou for also organising all of this stuff for us students and when we need help you are always here for us I really appreciate it thank you. I am also extremely thankful for taking your time to organize all of this online stuff and I would love it if you could tell all of the teachers including you and Mrs Adams that I am very thankful that they worked so hard just for us students and tell Mrs Stalker I said hi. I am really looking forwards to see you tomorrow and I think that it is a great idea to go around in bunny ears and drop off easter eggs I think all of the student are really grateful of that and I am really excited to spend the rest of the year with you as my teacher, I really miss hearing your morning greeting to all of us! I am really glad you have spent the time to google classroom us every single detail we need to know about what we need to do for work. I am so grateful that you were our year 6 teacher!
P.S. I really miss you as a teacher, and I miss joyfully running into our classroom everyday and year six is such a big part of our time at primary school and I am so glad that I got you for my teacher!
